You can read DnD

While less common, reading DnD content is still very much a thing. Some people prefer consuming stories at their own pace, without audio or visuals. It’s largely a matter of personal preference.

Handbooks

Handbooks aren’t just rulebooks—they’re also a form of entertainment. Reading about classes, magic items, or optional rules can be inspiring and fun. Third-party books often lean into creativity, humor, or niche concepts, making them especially enjoyable with friends.

Comics

DnD comics blend fantasy storytelling with visual flair. Some are adaptations of real campaigns, while others are original stories inspired by the game’s themes. They offer a structured narrative while still capturing DnD’s spirit.

Novels

DnD novels are rarer but do exist. Writing a novel based on a game is difficult due to the inherent chaos of DnD, but when done well, it creates rich fantasy stories rooted in tabletop logic. Many fantasy novels also draw heavily from DnD-style worlds, even if they aren’t officially branded.
