Willow Tits are often confused with the Marsh Tit. Both species look so alike, most of the birdwatchers cannot differentiate between the two. Some methods of differentiation include call and habitat. Willow Tits have an extremely loud call. The sound is described as a 'eep, eep', and multiple alarms based off the willow tit are on the internet. If you want to hear the sound, click the link here.
Blue tits are much more aggressive than willow tits, and due to this they pose some threat to the willow tit. Willow tits are sometimes kicked out of their nesting holes by blue tits, forcing them to scrounge for a different home. One pair was seen to give up four different nesting holes a year for the blue tit!
